COURT DECLARES MUSHARRAF AN ABSCONDER IN BENAZIR BHUTTO’S MURDER

Five persons are acquitted, while two have been sentenced to prison in former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s assassination case. An Anti-Terrorism Court Pervez Musharraf an absconder on the case and ordered to seize all his property.

Former Director Inspector General Saudi Aziz and Superintendent of Police Khurram Shehzad were sentenced to 17 years of imprisonment for aiding the crime with a fine of Rs 5 Lakh and acquitted five others in the case.

Bhutto was killed after addressing an election rally in Rawalpindi on 27 December 2007 and almost after 10 years, the Anti Terrorism Court delivered its verdict.
