India defeated New Zealand in a cliff hanger to win 3 match ODI series 2-1. New Zealand won the toss and opted to field. They got the early wicket of Dhawan but Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli stitched a 230 run partnership to build strong foundation for host to capitalize on.
Rohit scored 147 of 138 balls and was adjudged man of the match while captain Kohli scored his second century of series by scoring 113 runs. India then lost wickets for quest of scoring quick runs and managed to score 337 at loss of six wicket.
New Zealand had similar start to India’s as they lost Guptill early but kiwi captain Williamson and Munro scored 50’s each who were followed equally well by Tom Latham.
Having required 34 runs of 24 balls Kiwis came across excellent death bowling performance by Bumrah and Bhuvaneshvar as they lost set batsman and scoreboard pressure meant they made some wrong decision and eventually lost the match by 6 runs.
