Arsene Wenger _Leaving or Staying?- Arsenal FC’s manager Arsene Wenger has hinted that he will accept the 2 year contract extension which the Board is planning to give him. There were rumours that he will be leaving Arsenal FC after a 21 year stint as a football manager in the club, but after his team’s 2-1 win over Chelsea FC in the finals of the FA Cup, the Board is ready to extend his contract by 2 more years.

India wins against New Zealand in warm up match- India posted a victory over New Zealand in the warm up match being held before the 2017 Champions Trophy, which is being held in England and Wales. New Zealand was all out for 189 and India emerged victorious by posting 129/3, and won by the D/L method by 45 runs.

UEFA Champions League Final- the UEFA Champions League finals is being held in the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, on 3rd June, 2017. The match is being played between the Italian Champions Juventus FC and the Spanish Champions Real Madrid FC. The winner of this match will play the winner of the UEFA Europa League 2017, Manchester United, for the title of the UEFA Super Cup 2017.

Murray beats Kuznetsov- Andy Murray, the British tennis star, moved into the second round of the French open with a four-set victory over Andrey Kuznetsov at Roland Garros. The world No.1 proved too strong for his Russian opponent coming through 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, and 6-0 in just over two and a half hours on court Philippe Chatrier.

Totti retires at Roma- Francesco Totti, the Italian Footballer, finally hung his boots at the ripe age of 40, as he played his last game for AS Roma. Totti has played approximately 620 games for AS Roma, and has scored 250 goals in has professional football career. He holds the record for the most goals scored in Serie A (the Italian league) while playing for a single club (AS Roma).
